"Itinérances" exhibition by DomiH

From November 30 to February 24, 2025, the town of Cagnes-sur-Mer presents the exhibition “Itinérances” by artist DomiH.
This Cagnes-based artist's exhibition at the Château-Musée Grimaldi features a selection of some sixty works (paintings, sculptures, installations, works on paper), exploring a rich production in which the color black dominates.
The exhibition takes visitors on an inner journey, revealing the complexity of the color black. Fascinating, enigmatic and radical, it is a means of introspection and poetic expression for the artist.
When working with the color black, it's hard not to think of Pierre Soulages (1919-2022), who wrote: “One is always on the lookout for two things, both equally dangerous: order and disorder”. DomiH adds: “Does black allow us to reveal ourselves less? Or, on the contrary, does its darkness offer a dazzling clarity of “the truth”, my truth, your truth? After all, isn't it this duality that the color black provokes?
On this occasion, artist DomiH, shares with the public “his” variations of the color black, its nuances, its uses. Its intensity changes according to the dimensions of the support, shape and texture. As a result, each work is a unique experience.
